William R. Herzog II, author, dean of Andover Newton Theological School, and Red Sox super-fan will present "Curses, Foiled Again! Drama and Melodrama in Red Sox History," a midwinter celebration of the boys of summer, on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Old South Church, 645 Boylston St., Boston. Herzog, who wrote "The Faith of Fifty Million: Baseball, Religion, and American Culture," will be joined for the lecture by Dr. Charles Steinberg, Red Sox vice president for public affairs. The talk, which is being held on the anniversary of Jackie Robinson's birthday, will also include door prizes like a signed baseball and Sox tickets.
