Irma and Richard Flibotte

Richard and Irma (Tassi) Flibotte of Derry celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Aug. 26, 2011.

The couple were married Aug. 26, 1951, at St. Charles Boromeo Church in Woburn. The couple renewed their wedding vows at Holy Cross Church. The renewal ceremony was officiated by Fr. Roger Croteau. A reception, hosted by family and friends, was held at the Halcyon Function Hall in Derry.

Mrs. Flibotte is a native of Woburn. She was employed as a C.N.A. and housekeeper at P.M.C. in Derry. She is now retired.

Mr. Flibotte is a native of North Reading. He was employed as a machinist at Sanmina in Derry. He is now retired.

The couple's children are Richard and Kathy of Raymond, Robert of South Carolina, George and Laura of Methuen, Stephen Sr. and Patricia of Derry, William Flibotte of Washington State, and Mary and Justin Lyons of Washington State. The couple has 10 grandchildren, Jason Flibotte, Stephen Flibotte Jr., Nickolas Flibotte, the late Geoffrey Flibotte, Seth Flibotte, Joshua Flibotte, Shannon Johnson, Dalton Ekler, William Flibotte Jr., and Britney Ekler. The couple has five great-grandchildren and one due soon, Vanessa and Stephen Flibotte III, Madison and Sam Flibotte, and Jesse Johnson.
