Mary and Allen Jackson

Allen and Mary (Mikonis) Jackson recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at Cobblestones of Lowell. They were married on Sept. 16, 1951.

Their children include: Robert and Cathy Jackson of Acton, Maine and grandchildren, Rachel Jackson, Kyle Jackson and Lindsay Jackson; Patricia, wife of David Hajjar of Wilton, N.H., Jim and Cathy Jackson of Hampstead, N.H.; Rich and Terry Jackson of Burlington, and grandchildren, Dennis Jackson and Jake Jackson; Susan, wife of Bill Farrell of Windham, N.H., and grandchild, Kate Farrell. Kyle Jackson's girlfriend, Kelsey, and Dennis Jackson's girlfriend, Nicole, were also there to help the couple celebrate.

Mary is a native of Groveland and Allen is a native of Lawrence.

Mary is a retired Registered Nurse.

Allen is a former Oxford Paper Company employee for many years and then when he was retired, he worked as a Security Guard.

The couple's secret to a happy marriage is listening to each other.

    Eunice, formally of Lawrence, MA, now resides in Topsfield, MA with her daughter Judy and her husband Skip Forrest. Eunice has three daughters, Judy Forrest of Topsfield, Nancy Perrault of Methuen and Susan Perusse of Methuen. She also has six grandchildren who idealize her; Lt. Col. Martin Forrest of North Carolina, Brendan Forrest of Wakefield, MA, Capt. Patrick Forrest of North Carolina, Jillian Perrault of Methuen, and Nicole & Renee Perusse, both of Methuen.
