BELGIUM The graves of three German World War I soldiers are shown at the German Military Cemetery, Soldatenfriedhof, in Menen, Belgium. During World War I, Menen was occupied by German troops. The cemetery contains the graves of 47,864 soldiers who lost their lives. Events are planned across Europe beginning in 2014 to mark the century since World War I began.
