Henry P. Schruender Memorial Park in Methuen, overlooking the Merrimack River, could soon be the site of a healing garden in memory of the late Brenda Waller, longtime volunteer for the Trauma Intervention Program ofthe Merrimack Valley. TIP executive director Jayan Landry, Methuen Conservation Officer Joseph Giarrusso and Lindsay Waller, a TIP volunteer and the daughter of Brenda Waller, inspected the site last week. TIP is considering an agreement with the city to become stewards of the land. TIP (Trauma Intervention Program of Merrimack Valley) will enter into an agreement with the City of Methuen to become stewards of the land on a park, which will become the site of TIP’s healing garden.
