FILE - Actress Jean Stapleton speaks during an interview in Washington on Wednesday, March 3, 1977, saying she will increase speaking out to the "Edith Bunkers" of the land to try and muster support for the Equal Rights Amendment. Stapleton, who played Edith Bunker in the groundbreaking 1970s TV comedy "All in the Family," has died. She was 90.
