The following Andover residents were named to the winter trimester academic honor roll at Lawrence Academy — high honors were awarded to seniors Timothy Caron, Shannon Muscatello, Jennifer Samel; sophomores Jennifer Caron, Jamie Newsome; and freshman Brett McQuaide. Honors were awarded to seniors Amy Caron, Nisreen Dahod, Bernard Leed; juniors Jessica DeVito, Kate Gilmore, Caroline Leed; sophomores Brendan Cronin, Sam Gilboard, Alison Pouliot, Alexandra Savely, Bryce Stocks; and freshman Zoô Zimmerman.

The following Lawrence residents were named to the winter trimester academic honor roll at Lawrence Academy — high honors were awarded to senior Rosa Valentin and junior Carly Edelstein.

Kelly Horan of Methuen, a senior at Lawrence Academy, earned honors on the winter trimester academic honor roll.

The following North Andover residents were named to the winter trimester academic honor roll at Lawrence Academy — high honors were awarded to senior Andrew Bauer and junior Sarah Logan. Honors went to freshman Sabrina Galiney.

Suzanne Chandler and Andrea Faris, both of Andover, were named Merrimack College's 2009 Presidential Scholar award recipients.

Ivonne Pabon and Joseph Ratte, both of Lawrence, were named Merrimack College's 2009 Presidential Scholar award recipients.

The following Methuen residents were named Merrimack College's 2009 Presidential Scholar award recipients — Jacquelyn Chase, Tara Muise, Elizabeth Louise-Olivier Watts.

The following North Andover residents were named Merrimack College's 2009 Presidential Scholar award recipients — Brandi Galotti, Luke Maus, David Pickles III.

Paul Sartori of Andover, a junior in communications at Bryant University, will work with six other students to manage the Bryant Center, the campus' student union building, for the 2009-2010 academic year. The Bryant Center offers lounges and study rooms, various dining facilities, a bookstore, a game room, and meeting rooms.

Jessica Morgan earned a bachelor of arts degree in language arts compsoite from Hope College in Holland, Mich. She is the daughter of Mark and Sandy Morgan of Andover.

Kelly Wray has achieved dean's list status for the fall 2008 semester at Westfield State College where she is majoring in elementary education. She is the daughter of Bill and Donna Wray of North Andover.

Stephanie Lyons of North Andover was named to the 2008 fall semester dean's list at the University of Delaware. Lyons is a freshman marketing major in the College of Business and Economics.

Victoria Winslow of North Andover was named to the 2008 fall semester dean's list at the University of Delaware. Winslow is a freshman biological sciences major in the College of Arts and Sciences.

Patrick Phelan of Methuen earned honors on the honor roll at Matignon High School. Phelan is a junior.

Alexy Santos of Lawrence earned honors on Brooks School's honor roll.


Meredith Moses of Methuen was named to the dean's list at Fairfield University. Moses, a junior at the university, is majoring in mathematics. She is the daughter of James and Celia Moses.

Michelle Canning of North Andover was named to the principal's list (highest honors) on Bishop Fenwick High School's third quarter honor roll.

Alexandria Castaldo and Andrew Young, both of North Andover, earned first honors on Bishop Fenwick High School's third quarter honor roll.

Jessica Morgan, daughter of Mark and Sandy Morgan of Andover, was named to the dean's list for the second semester of the 2008-2009 school year at Hope College.

Matt Gordon of Methuen High School and Angelica Gonzalez of Greater Lawrence Vocational High School have been named New Hampshire Fisher Cats Foundation Scholar-Athletes. They were selected for this award based on their achievements in academics, athletics and in the community. Gordon will attend Saint Anselm College and Gonzalez will attend UMass Lowell.

Kelly Cooke of Andover recently graduated from Noble and Greenough School in Dedham. Cooke was awarded the Davis Cup for sportsmanship.

Abigail Chmielecki, a 2008 graduate of North Andover High School, has completed her first year at Worcester State College. Chmielecki has been a dean's list student and was inducted into the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. In the fall, she was elected as a Class Senator for the
Student Senate and was elected to the executive board position as chair of public relations. She participated in the annual State House Day. She will attend the NACA Conference in Washington D.C. in July. This year she has participated in the Helping Emerging Leaders Progress Program.

Lawrence resident Ann Tremblay, a geography major at Salem State College, received the National Council for Geographic Education Award at the Geography Department's annual awards dinner on April 17, for excellence in geography.

Army Reserve Pvt. Justin M. Fay has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises. The private is a 2005 graduate of Greater Lawrence Regional Vocational-Technical High School. He is the son of Michael and Dorothy Fay of Methuen.
