Bryen Davies, 13 of Lawrence, hangs with his new teammates on the Salem State men's hockey team. Davies was signed by the team through Team IMPACT, a nonprofit organization based in Quincy that is chartered to improve the quality of life for children facing life-threatening illnesses. Team IMPACT helps draft children onto local college athletic teams, allowing them to become an official member of the team for the duration of their treatment and beyond.
