Stranded Hikers

These Feb. 2, 2013, photos provided by William Kramer, of NEMO Equipment, Inc., show Suzanne Turell, right, and Connie Yang, both of York Maine. Turell and Yang made it safely down Longs Peak in Colorado Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, after being stranded by an ice storm for two days. The storm system that pummeled Colorado with rain caused an ice storm at higher elevations that pinned down the hikers in whiteout conditions about 800 feet below the summit.
