NH police suspect 2 armed robberies related

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — Police in Concord, N.H., suspect that an armed robbery at a store in Penacook is related to a similar armed robbery of a restaurant last week.

Police say a man displaying a handgun robbed Sam’s Food Store Thursday night. Authorities say the man was wearing black clothing, a black mask and gloves.

Police say a man also dressed in black and wearing gloves robbed the Asian Taste Restaurant on Aug. 8. Police tell the Concord Monitor that the two robberies happened in the same area around the same time of night and in both cases the suspect was described as having broad shoulders.

Police say they are boosting patrols in the Penacook area and are asking anyone with information to contact the Concord Regional Crimeline at 603-226-3100.
