N.H. man critically injured in I-93 crash

WINDHAM, N.H. — Two people were injured in a one-car accident on Interstate 93 this morning.

Cody Roy, 22, of Jaffrey, a passenger in the vehicle, suffered serious head injuries when the car he was riding in went off the road and rolled up and over an embankment around 10 a.m. He was taken to Parkland Medical Center in Derry, and then transported by Medflight helicopter to Boston Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.

The driver of the 2000 Hyundai Sonata, Britini Wozniak, 19, of Greenville, was ejected from the vehicle. She was taken to Elliot Hospital in Manchester, where she remains in good condition.

According to state police, the Hyundai was traveling southbound on I-93 in an erratic manner. It was reported traveling in and out of traffic in an "aggressive manner" at a high rate of speed, police said. The driver then lost control of the vehicle, and it went off the road and rolled over several times.

Neither Roy nor Wozniak were wearing seat belts. Speed was a factor in the crash, and the use of alcohol is being investigated, state police said.

Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to contact Trooper Jeffrey Tenczar of the New Hampshire State Police, Troop B in Milford.
