Methuen, Lawrence police investigating armed assaults

Two armed home invasions reported in Methuen

METHUEN — Police had no peace yesterday, from late afternoon deep into the night shift.

As detectives worked to complete their investigation of a triple stabbing at Holy Family Hospital, they and patrol officers found themselves busy for the rest of the evening investigating two armed home invasions within an hour period.

"Crazy night," Methuen police Chief Joseph Solomon tweeted.

The good news, though, was that there were no serious injuries reported in any of the incidents, according to Methuen police Lt. Kevin Martin.

More details in tomorrow's Eagle-Tribune.
