---- — PELHAM — An unidentified man is in critical condition in a Boston hospital after being stabbed in the leg early this morning.
Police were called to a home on Dutton Road just before 2:30 a.m. for a report of a male stabbing victim.
Police and fire personnel responded and found a man with a “significant” stab wound to his left leg, police said, and he had lost a significant amount of blood.
The victim first was transported to Lowell General Hospital, then transferred to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Police said the last report showed the man in critical, but stable, condition.
There was a party at the home, police said, and early investigations show there was a verbal argument that escalated when an unidentified man pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the leg. The suspect had fled the scene before police arrived.
Police are not identifying the victim nor the suspect. The investigation continues.
