Area police are looking for a blue Dodge Neon believed to be driven by a woman who is now a suspect in as many as four armed robberies.
The car, bearing N.H. license plate 3135844, was driven away from the Subway restaurant on Perkins Road in Londonderry shortly after 7 tonight.
While police scoured Interstate 93 south, the direction witnesses said the car headed, a convenience store off Exit 6 in Manchester was held up about 30 minutes later.
Descriptions of the suspect matched those in the Londonderry incident and two earlier robberies, one Sunday evening in East Derry and one last week at a Manchester sandwich shop.
The suspect in the Londonderry incident tonight was described as a red-headed woman, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
In all cases, the woman claimed to have a gun although no one has actually seen a weapon.
In the latest incident, at 7:30 p.m. at the Candia Road Convenience Store, the suspect did escape with an undetermined amount of cash, according to Manchester police.
Police said witnesses described her as a thin woman in her mid-20s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall with blonde hair. Again, she had a sweatshirt hood pulled up over her head. The car in that incident was described only as a small blue one.
In all cases, there were no customers in the businesses when the woman struck and no one was injured.
It’s not known if there were any accomplices in the three most recent holdups. But at D'Angelo's on South Willow Street in Manchester a week ago, the suspect fled in a small blue car driven by a woman with long dark hair.
The woman was videotaped by a store surveillance camera in East Derry.
