Two school buses shot at in Haverhill

HAVERHILL - Two school buses were shot at today with what is believed to be BB or pellet guns, shattering windows and spraying glass, but no one was injured.

Police Lt. Robert Pistone said both buses had students aboard when incidents occurred.

The first incident happened on a Head Start bus this morning about 11:30 a.m. in the area of Main and Marshland streets. Pistone said there were 4- and 5-year-olds aboard.

The second incident happened around 2:30 p.m. at Winter and Hale streets. Pistone said he believes the bus was carrying high school students.

Pistone said each bus had a passenger window broken. He said police are still investigating.
