Ex-Merrimack star signed to Colts practice squad

Former Merrimack College football star Shawn Loiseau, a native of Shrewsbury, became the first Warrior in school history to sign with an NFL franchise on Saturday afternoon following the NFL draft. Loiseau signed his undrafted free agent contract less than an hour after the completion of the draft.

This week signed a contract to join the Indianapolis Colts practice squad as they prepare to come to Foxboro to play the New England Patriots.

"I couldn’t be more excited for the opportunity that the Colts organization is giving me,” said Loiseau. “I am going to work as hard as possible while I am here to prove to them that I belong.”

Check out tomorrow's Eagle-Tribune for more on Loiseau getting his shot in the NFL.
