Londonderry woman gets 35 years to life for fatal shooting

BRENTWOOD — A Londonderry woman will spend 35 years to life in prison for shooting and her killing her former boyfriend.

Nicole LeBlanc, 39, pleaded guilty today in Rockingham Superior Court as part of a plea bargain. She was sentenced on a second-degree murder charge by Judge Marguerite Wageling.

LeBlanc, originally charged with first-degree murder, took a friend's gun and shot Richard Mannion, 43, of Sandown.

Mannion was found dead in his home at 31 Hollow Oak Road on Jan. 14. The divorced father of four died of a single gunshot wound to the head.

LeBlanc had been under a court order to stay away from Mannion when he was shot. She pleaded guilty in November 2011 to assaulting Mannion three months earlier, according to court documents.
