WINDHAM — Police are investigating the untimely death yesterday of a 20-year-old woman. Evidence found at 8 Bear Hill Road indicates her death may be drug related, police said this morning.
Police and fire were called to the home, owned by Robert and Mary Ann Ida, for a medical emergency just before 11:30 a.m. yesterday. The woman was dead when emergency personnel arrived, according to police,
Police executed a search warrant at the home yesterday afternoon and discovered evidence pointing to drug use. Autopsy and toxicology tests are pending.
Members of the Southeastern NH Hazardous Materials Mutual Aid District were called to the scene for assistance. The home was released to the owner at approximately 9:30 p.m., police said.
The investigation is continuing.
