Former coach faces sex assault charges

LONDONDERRY — A former youth football coach faces three charges of felonious sexual assault.

Timothy Longua was charged Friday evening with two counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault ad one count of felonious sex assault.

Longua is accused of sexually assaulting two children under the age of 13 between the summer of 2012 and January of this year.

The victims reported that on more than one occasion, during sleepovers, Longua assaulted them in the middle of the night.

Longua was a boys youth football coach with the Londonderry Wildcats. Eric Morin, vice president of the Wildcats, confirmed today that Longua had been a coach for two years, but was no longer.

The alleged victims are both girls. Both youngsters described Longua as being drunk on beer when he assaulted them.

Bail was set at $10,000 cash, which he at first was not able to post and was taken to the county jail. Over the weekend, Longua posted bail and was released.

He is due in 10th Circuit Court in Derry March 25.
