Merrimack Valley Bandit suspect arrested in Salem, N.H.

SALEM — SALEM, N.H. — Acting on a tip from the North Andover and Methuen police departments, Salem Police were able to apprehend a suspect whom they believe is the Merrimack Valley Bandit.

The person known as the bandit is wanted in connection with at least 15 robberies since February.

Police have arrested Rafael Beamud Jr. of Lowell. He is currently in FBI custody.
