Haverhill fireworks still on for tonight

Haverhill's Fourth of July celebration and fireworks display will go on tonight as planned.

The festivities will be behind Trinity Stadium and begin at 6 p.m.

Entertainment is by a Good Times DJ, EJ Ouellette and Crazy Maggie and the Johnny Cash tribute band A Boy Named Sue.

Food vendors will be selling french fries, sausage sandwiches, fried dough, ice cream, fresh-squeezed lemonade, slush and hot dogs.

This year’s $15,000 fireworks display is by Atlas PyroVision Productions of Jaffrey, New Hampshire, and will begin at 9:15 p.m.

The show will last 21 to 22 minutes, a few minutes shorter than last year to allow for a bigger grand finale, festival organizers said.
