Police: Motorcyclist traveling 107 mph

GREENLAND, N.H. — Using aircraft surveillance, New Hampshire State Police arrested yet another high-speed driver this morning.

Scott Gardiner, 22, of Hampton was clocked driving 107 mph in a 65-mph zone on Interstate 95 in Greenland at 7:40 this morning.

Police said Gardiner, driving a motorcycle, was traveling south and passing traffic when he was stopped by Trooper Craig Gagne.

Gardiner was charged with reckless driving and released on bail.

He is due to appear in court Sept. 8 in Portsmouth.

The N.H. State Police Special Enforcement Unit regularly interdicts elevated speed violations and other aggressive driving behaviors.

Members patrol across the state, often using an airplane during peak travel times.
