Reports: Multiple injuries in Pelham fireworks explosion

PELHAM — Media are reporting that as many as 10 people have been transferred to area hospitals — one of them a child burned badly enough to be sent to a Boston hospital — after fireworks exploded at a home at 40 Dodge Road shortly after 7:30 tonight.

Pelham police confirmed that there is a major incident requiring police and firefighters at 40 Dodge Road, but released no other details.

Pelham police and fire crews, assisted by fire crews from several area towns, have responded to the scene. Town records list the two-story colonial style home as being owned by Jeanne Pappathan.
