Families left homeless after Lawrence fire

At around 6 p.m. today, a two-alarm fire broke out at 50 Forest St. in Lawrence. The home is located off of Haverhill Street, near the Methuen line.

The cause of the fire at the two-family home is still under investigation. Investigators are currently interviewing residents.

Firefighters from Lawrence, Methuen, North Andover and Lowell responded to the blaze. Though it has been extinguished, the roof is still smoldering.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital for exhaustion and dehydration.
