Police: Man was videotaping woman from under her home

SALEM, N.H. — An Orleans, Mass., man faces multiple charges after he allegedly spent two days under a woman’s trailer, videotaping her and her young son.

Christian Hobbs, 44, was arrested last night and charged with prowling, criminal mischief, violation of privacy, unlawful wiretapping, manufacture of child pornography, criminal trespassing and burglary.

He was arraigned this morning and is being held on $25,000 cash bail.

Police received a call from 15 Friendship Drive at 8:45 p.m. for a report that a man was peering up at the resident from underneath her bathroom floor — through the air duct.

Shortly after receiving the call, police found Hobbs walking along Route 28 and he admitted he had been under the trailer, according to police.

Hobbs, who had worked on the trailer two weeks earlier, hooked up two baby monitors in the trailer. He then snuck back in and cut holes in the floor.

Before his arrest last night, Hobbs told police he had been under the trailer for two days.

He had food and tissues with him, and made 16 one-minute videos of the resident. Some of those videos included footage of the woman’s nude toddler son. Hobbs told police he was masturbating while under the trailer.
