Police chief's home an 'active' crime scene

DANVILLE - New Hampshire State Police confirmed the home of police Chief Wade Parsons is "an active crime scene."

Lt. Christopher Vetter made that statement at about 9:30 this evening. He did not release any further information.

Scanner reports earlier this evening said a 15-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen at the Caramel Drive home.

Rescue personnel were checking for the availability of the DHART medical helicopter, but it's unknown whether the teen was transported that way.

About a dozen police cars are lined up outside the home and police are restricting access to the area.

A neighbor confirmed the home belongs to Parsons, but wouldn't comment otherwise.

The property is listed just in Parsons' name, according to town assessing records.

Police have been at the home for a couple of hours.

The house, which sits on 2.2 acres, is in a residential neighborhood, all homes with large lots.
