DERRY — A Kingston woman died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash on Rockingham Road yesterday afternoon.
Emily Savoie, 26, was a passenger on a 2012 Harley Davidson driven by Joshua Flibotte, 27, also of Kingston.
Police said it appeared Flibotte was trying to stop the motorcycle in traffic, lost control and the motorcycle fell onto its side. The accident occurred at about 3:45 p.m.
Savoie was ejected and seriously injured. She was taken to Parkland Medical Center, where she died a short time later, according to police.
Flibotte received minor injuries, police said.
Police said neither alcohol nor speed appear to have been factors in the accident.
The Accident Reconstruction Team investigated the crash. Rockingham Road (Route 28) was closed for about four hours after the crash.
Savoie and Flibotte were not wearing helmets.
No other vehicles were involved and there were no other injuries.
No one has been charged, police said, and the investigation continues.
