N.H. high court upholds teacher's pornography conviction

The New Hampshire Supreme Court has upheld the conviction of former Timberlane Middle School teacher Scott Buatti on child pornography charges.

Buatti, a former physical education teacher and youth coach, was convicted in the spring of 2011, then sentenced to two to four years in state prison in June 2011 on 10 counts of possessing child pornography.

Buatti was free on bail pending his appeal.

He was put on administrative leave from his job at Timberlane in April 2009, then later resigned. None of the pornographic images found on Buatti's home computer were of Timberlane students.

Before he was sentenced, Buatti took responsibility for the pornography, saying, "This has been a very long, emotional four years."

But he appealed his conviction to the state's highest court, which affirmed his convictions.
