METHUEN — Police arrested a third city man this afternoon in relation to yesterday's stabbing at Methuen High School.
Jomar Vega, 18, 168 Tenney St. was taken into custody today without incident on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery, police Chief Joseph Solomon said.
Two other suspects arrested yesterday, Leivi Jose Cruzetta, 19, 7 Moison Ave., and Justin Suriel, 18, 186 Tenney St., both were ordered held without bail at their arraignments this morning in Lawrence District Court. They are scheduled for a dangerousness hearing April 9.
A high school student was stabbed in the school parking lot just after dismissal yesterday at 2 p.m., police and witnesses said. Three people fled into the woods as officers posted at the high school ran towards the altercation. The victim received non-life threatening injuries and was treated at Holy Family Hospital.
