Ives is the Democratic nominee for state Senate

Newburyport City Councilor Kathleen O'Connor Ives is the Democratic nominee for the state seat vacated by Steven Baddour of Methuen.

Finishing second was Tim Coco of Haverhill. Former Mayor Bill Manzi finished third.

Only Merrimac has not reported its numbers.

Here is the breakdown:

Ives: 3881

Coco: 3320

Manzi: 3155
