Unresponsive boy rushed from playground to hospital

HAVERHILL — A young boy was found unresponsive at the Portland Street playground this afternoon, police said.

Rescue workers were taking the boy by ambulance to Merrimack Valley Hospital. Medflight was being called to Haverhill and was scheduled to land at the hospital.

The helicopter was expected to take the boy to a Boston hospital for treatment.
