Threatening message found at Sanborn High

KINGSTON — Sanborn Regional High School students were evacuated this morning after a threatening message was found on a wall at the school.

A staff member saw the message at about 10:30 a.m. and reported it to the administration, principal Brian Stack said.

Stack would not reveal the content of message nor where it was written, but said it presented a "potential safety concern."

He said students and staff were relocated to another part of the building for more than half an hour while police investigated.

"We did an internal evacuation and moved everyone to a safe and secure area," Stack said.

Students were allowed to return to their classes at about 11:15 a.m. Parents were notified of the incident by email about 11:30 a.m.

Authorities from the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office and the Kingston and Newton police departments were called to investigate.

Anyone with information about the message is asked to call Kingston police at 642-5742.
