BRENTWOOD — A Haverhill man will spend 15 to 30 years in state prison for sexually assaulting a 9-year-girl at Wal-Mart in Plaistow last year.
Ronald Beausoleil, 33, will also serve a suspended three and a half to seven-year prison sentence for exposing himself to an 8-year-old girl at Wal-Mart in Salem in September 2011.
Beausoleil was silent as he was sentenced this afternoon in Rockingham Superior Court by Judge N. William Delker.
"Again and again, you have victimized the most vulnerable members of society," Delker said.
He was convicted of aggravated felonious sexual assault and felonious sexual assault in November for touching the 9-year-old in a sexual manner in the Plaistow store's toy aisle.
He was also found guilty of accomplice to theft for shoplifting spark plugs from the store and driving with a revoked license. He is a registered sex offender in Massachusetts.
Shortly before his trial in the Salem case was to begin Jan. 14, Beausoleil decided to plead guilty to the indecent exposure and lewdness charge in exchange for the suspended sentence. The young victim, now 10, told the court how she would never be able to forget what Beausoleil did.
