Lawrence man paralyzed in NYC road rage incident caught on video

---- — A Lawrence man, Jeremiah Mieses, is paralyzed after a bizarre road rage incident in New York City caught on tape on Sunday.

According to the New York Daily News, the incident began when a group of motorcyclists surrounded a Range Rover on the Henry Hudson Parkway.

Rosalyn and Alexian Lien drove down the highway with their 2-year-old child in their Range Rover. One biker cut off the Range Rover and his his rear tire was bumped by the SUV.

Lien stopped and the group of motorcyclists began attacking his SUV. He drove off and hit three bikers while trying to flee. One of those bikers was Mieses.

Mieses is now in a coma as well as paralyzed., his wife told CBS Mews.

There is now a Facebook group called "Justice For Jay Meezee" in support of Mieses.

"The media is trying to paint the man driving the Range Rover as the victim. Yet, Jay Meezee is in a coma and paralyzed unable to walk again along with a list of severe injuries sustained," says the Facebook group,

According to police, Lien will not be charged.

The group of motorcyclists eventually caught up with Lien when he exited the parkway in Washington Heights in upper Manhattan and attacked him. He sustained facial lacerations and bruises.

The Henry Hudson Parkway runs along the Hudson River side of Manhattan.
