Police identify beating victims, suspects

---- — METHUEN — Two victims of an early morning attack outside the McDonald's restaurant on Route 110 in Methuen remain hospitalized while the third has been released.

Police identified the victims as:

— Luis Retamar, 21, Hobson Street, Methuen, who suffered head and brain trauma and was transported to a Boston hospital, where he is in stable condition.

— Michael Peters, 21, Independence Drive, Salem, N.H., who suffered a stab wound to the chest. He is in serious but stable condition after surgery and is expected to survive.

— Jonathan Tomasi, 20, Billerica, released after treatment of a stab wound to the chest.

Meanwhile, five people — three adults and two juveniles — are being charged in the crime. Police identified the adults as:

— Rafael Buli, 19, 194 Emmett St., Lawrence, two counts, armed assault and battery with intent to murder; one count, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

— Reuben Caba, 18, 384 Haverhill St., Lawrence, one count, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon.

— Omarlin Padilla, 18, 121 Camden St., Methuen, one count, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon.

The two unnamed juveniles are both charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
