---- — LAWRENCE — Enterprise Bank has opened a new branch office at 290 Merrimack St. in the Riverwalk Complex which will be headed by Merrimack Valley residents.
The newly constructed 3,000 square-foot facility is the bank’s 21st branch location and will have ATM services and commercial lenders on site. The Riverwalk Complex is owned by developer and businessman Salvatore Lupoli.
“Our new Lawrence office presents a great opportunity for Enterprise to service current customers close to their homes and businesses, while providing us great potential to expand our base in a thriving urban environment convenient to include many new businesses, professionals and non-profit customers,” according to CEO Jack Clancy.
During ceremonies at the new bank on Tuesday, Clancy introduced Danissa Lembert of North Andover as the branch manager. She has more than eight years of banking experience and is currently attending Northern Essex Community College.
Jesus Suriel, a resident of Lawrence, will serve as branch service manager. Suriel has been a commercial banker for over six years and is a graduate of Northern Essex Community College.
Lembert and Suriel are both involved in civic activities in the Greater Lawrence area.
“We are very fortunate to have a number of customers and employees who call Lawrence home,” said bank Chairman and Enterprise founder George Duncan.
He noted that the new Lawrence office is just three miles from the Methuen branch, four miles from the Andover branch and seven miles from the Salem, N.H. office.
“In addition to serving the financial needs of the Lawrence residents, businesses and professionals, we look forward to becoming an active supporter of the civic and charitable endeavors of the community,” Duncan said.
The bank commissioned pieces of art that hang in the lobby of the branch. One of the original paintings by local artist Tom Gill depicts the Bread & Roses Strike and its significance in history to the City of Lawrence.
