NORTH ANDOVER — Fans of artisanal, locally-sourced food now have a new establishment to check out with the opening of Pazzo Gelato Cafe (Pazzo) in North Andover. Featuring a bright, colorful backdrop with a cheerful mural, tables crafted of reclaimed wood and a state-of-the-art gelato machine imported from Italy, Pazzo offers hand-crafted gelato and sorbetto, baked goods, hot pressed Panini sandwiches and espresso drinks from mid-morning through evenings, seven days a week. The company philosophy centers on providing an authentic Italian gelateria experience by serving freshly-made products sourced from local dairy producers, using imported Italian flavorings and high-quality fresh fruits.

Pazzo is located at The Eaglewood Shops at 99 Turnpike St., Route 114, and is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The cafe provides a selection of flavors and offerings that change daily, based on the availability of the freshest ingredients. For more information, visit facebook.com/pazzogelatocafe.

MERRIMAC — Certified personal trainer, Beth Fahey, established BrickHouse Fitness, located in downtown Merrimac, back in October 2009. As the economy finds its strength again and Fahey’s brand and reputation continues to grow, she has welcomed two new key players to the BrickHouse Fitness team.

Ariana Corcoran of Haverhill will be taking on an administrative role at this old-fashioned “anything goes” gym. Her addition to the team has already proven to be an asset for Fahey, who works from dawn to dark six days a week. Corcoran began working out at BrickHouse Fitness in December 2012, before taking on her new-found responsibilities.

Katelyn McNamara has joined the BrickHouse team in a marketing and public relations capacity. Originally from Londonderry, McNamara brings a bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University and a lot of drive and creativity to the table. Aside from her full-time job as a brand manager and journalist for a suite of products in the Merrimack Valley, McNamara is now being mentored by Fahey as she works on her personal trainer certification in her free time.
