HAVERHILL — Haverhill Bank will join CVS and other stores in a planned 22,000 square foot retail plaza along Route 97 at the Methuen and Salem, N.H. border. The Salem Planning Board recently gave conditional approval to the plaza at 389-396 Main St. and 5 Hampstead Road, Salem, N.H. The development on the site of the Green Barn restaurant is part of a plan by Thur Ken II of Salem, N.H. The traditional, New England-style building features wood-frame construction, brick finishes, clapboard siding and decorative fabric awnings. Haverhill Bank plans two drive-up teller lanes and a drive-up ATM lane. The bank branch, Haverhill Bank’s first in New Hampshire, will have six to eight employees. Haverhill Bank’s next step is to gain approval from bank regulators.

ANDOVER — Baystate Financial announces that Ronald Hill, financial advisor, has been named as a recipient of Boston’s 2013 FIVE STAR Wealth Manager Award. This marks the third consecutive year Hill has received this honor. The FIVE STAR Award is presented to less than 3 percent of the advisors in the Boston area. This was announced in the February issue of Boston Magazine. Hill has had a Baystate Financial office at 10 Essex St., in Andover since 1986. He has been a financial services leader for 29 years, helping individuals and small business owners achieve their financial goals. He has resided in Andover with his wife, Janis, and their two children since 1981.

LOWELL — LowellBank was recognized by the Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency (MassHousing) as their Top Producer to Low Income Borrowers for 2012 at an awards ceremony held on March 1, in their Boston offices. LowellBank originated $23 million (100 loans) of Mass Housing loans in 2012. Of these 100 Mass Housing loans, 57 percent were to low income borrowers. This is the highest percentage of any Mass Housing lender. Denny Bey, managing director of LowellBank’s Omega Mortgage Division, was on hand to accept the award for the bank.

Mass Housing first mortgage loans are valuable community lending tools. They allow qualified applicants to purchase a new home with a down payment of as little as 5 percent and with fixed rates as long as 30 years. Mass Housing also offers special mortgage insurance programs with low rates for lower income borrowers. This can save a homeowner a substantial amount on their monthly payment.

AMESBURY — The law firm of Healey, Deshaies & Gagliardi, PC, located in Amesbury, announces that M. Katie Kerr, Esq., of Boston, has joined the firm. Kerr comes to the firm experienced in family law litigation. Her current practice focuses on marital dissolution, pre- and post-marital agreements, paternity, child custody and support, including the removal of children from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and modifications of alimony. Currently, Kerr is on the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Association of Women Lawyers and volunteers her time with the Probate and Family Court Lawyer of the Day Program.

LOWELL — Kayleagh Morrisey and Margery Nelson have joined the staff of Fred C. Church, Inc. Morrisey has been hired as a Commercial Lines Assistant in the agency’s Lowell headquarters. Nelson has been hired as a Commercial Account Manager in the agency’s Portsmouth branch.

ANDOVER — The Real School of Music LLC recently held the grand opening of its second facility, located at 3 Dundee Park Drive, in Andover. The public was invited to come and check out the new state-of-the-art facility, which includes 13 private lesson studios, four ensemble session rooms with a recording studio and a 100+ person performance auditorium. Attendees will have many opportunities to witness the musical experiences offered at The Real School of Music.

In January 2012, The Real School of Music expanded operations by welcoming Bradford School of Music of North Andover, to The Real School family. Real School has chosen Andover to build this brand new state-of-the-art facility to accommodate the loyal Bradford students and the new students in the Andover area and surrounding towns. Bradford School of Music will transition to the name of The Real School of Music when they relocate to this new facility.
