NORTH ANDOVER — Frederick’s Pastries donated $468 to support the one year anniversary of The One Fund, Inc., which was set up by Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Tom Menino to help those most affected in the Boston Marathon bombings. For three weeks in April, all three Frederick’s Pastries locations sold their specialty flavored Boston Cream Pie jumbo cupcakes, and a portion of the proceeds was donated directly to The One Fund, Inc. In addition to purchasing the specialty cupcakes, all three Frederick’s Pastries stores accepted donations to directly benefit The One Fund at store checkouts. PEABODY — James Muse, senior vice president of North Shore Bank’s Retail Banking Division, was elected president of The Salem Partnership at their Annual Meeting on June 3, at the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem, Mass. The Salem Partnership is an organization that facilitates collaboration between businesses, nonprofit organizations and government agencies in working on economic development issues pertaining to the city of Salem and its general vicinity, which benefit both the partners and community in general. LOWELL — Rebecca Medeiros, an employee of Fred C. Church Insurance since 1996, has earned the Associate in Claims (AIC) designation. The Associate in Claims program is a nationally recognized educational program for claim representatives and claim management personnel. Achieving this designation indicates an in-depth understanding of claims principles and practices as demonstrated by passing the rigorous AIC national examinations. Medeiros, Personal Lines Claims Supervisor, is a licensed Insurance Producer and holds the designations of Accredited Advisor in Insurance and Certified Insurance Service Representative.

LOWELL — Matthew Magiera, Commercial Insurance Account executive, recently attended the Hartford School of Insurance’s two-week New Producer program and obtained the CLCS (Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist) designation. Magiera joined Fred C. Church Insurance in April.
