ANDOVER — 2013 was a year of growth and expansion for Wright-Pierce, a multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm in Andover, improving the firm’s ranking by 32 positions in the Engineering News Record (ENR) 2013 “Top 500” design firms. Engineering News Record, a trade publication and AEC (architecture, engineering and construction) industry observer, compiles and publishes annual rankings of the largest engineering and construction firms in the U.S., measured by gross revenues. Wright-Pierce has been ranked in the Top 500 for five consecutive years, and with a 16 percent revenue growth in 2013, the firm attained its highest ranking to date.

Wright—Pierce has expanded its staff by 20 percent since early 2013 to nearly 200 people, adding depth and breadth to both technical and management teams. A Manchester, N.H., office was opened in June, and major expansions have recently been completed at the Andover and Middletown, Conn., offices to accommodate projected growth.

BURLINGTON — Atlanta-based Primrose Schools will grow its Northeastern presence with the opening of its first Boston-area preschool in Burlington. On the heels of Primrose Schools’ entry into California in February 2014, Primrose School of Burlington marks the brand’s 281st independently owned and operated school.
