LOWELL — Entrepreneurs, experts, venture capitalists, angel investors and political and community leaders from around the country will convene for the two-day Sandbox Summit 2014 the weekend of June 9-10 in Lowell.
The summit will be hosted by the Merrimack Valley Sandbox and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at the University of Massachusetts Lowell Inn and Conference Center. It will focus on how to promote entrepreneurship opportunities for all in cities across America.
The conference will feature keynote addresses by Gov. Deval Patrick and Desh Deshpande, an entrepreneur who has launched many ventures and the co-founder of the Deshpande Foundation.
There will also be networking opportunities with national philanthropic leaders and pitch contests that will feature the region’s top entrepreneurs competing for thousands of dollars in cash prizes.
Programs will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Tickets are $25 total for both days. Over 150 people are expected to attend, and seating is limited.
