HAVERHILL — John Patriakeas has joined Haverhill Bank as vice president, compliance officer and BSA officer.
Patriakeas is responsible for ensuring the bank conforms to the federal and state banking rules and regulations. Prior to joining Haverhill Bank, Patriakeas spent nearly 18 years at Eastern Bank where he held various management positions. Most recently he served as the vice president of compliance and operational risk. He is a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager.
Patriakeas has held many different positions in both professional and civic organizations. He is the former chairman of the Massachusetts Community Banking Council and a member of the Eastern Massachusetts Compliance Network. An avid American history enthusiast, Patriakeas lives in Groveland with his wife and two daughters.

ANDOVER — The Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce and Sal Lupoli, owner of Salvatore’s Restaurants, celebrated the opening of Salvatore’s Restaurants’ fifth location in Andover with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The new 140-seat restaurant boasts a 20-seat bar and a separate take-out area. The full-service upscale-casual restaurant specializes in authentic Italian cuisine featuring locally sustainable products and quality ingredients like buffalo mozzarella from Campania, artisan cheeses and hand-crafted pastas. Located at 34 Park St., the space features exposed brick and high ceilings to create a comfortable, small-town feel that encourages casual dining. The location is now open to the general public Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., bar is open until 11 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., bar is open until midnight; and Sundays noon to 10 p.m., bar is open until 11 p.m.
NORTH ANDOVER — Panera Bread of North Andover announces that it has presented a check for $6,750 to the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence. The money, raised through Panera’s Operation Dough-Nation program, will be used to support the Boys & Girls Club’s Homework Help Center, helping the club continue to provide academic support and to promote the health, social, educational, vocational, and character development for all members.
The North Andover bakery-cafe originally collected $3,375 from customers through in-store Operation Dough-Nation canisters, which are displayed near the registers in each Panera bakery-cafe. Panera Bread then matched its customer donations dollar for dollar, bringing the total donation to $6,750.
