BOSTON — Technicians from seven locally-owned Mr. Handyman franchises donated 152 hours of labor to the New England Center for Homeless Veterans to help improve conditions of their home on Nov. 5. The volunteers installed flooring and built a changing room in the store. Dennis Turmel is the owner of Mr. Handyman in North Essex County.


METHUEN — Robin Fortin is the new administrator for Broadway Care and Rehabilitation Center located in Methuen. As administrator, she will provide leadership to an interdisciplinary team of 52 employees in the areas of social work, clinical, dining, dietary, housekeeping and maintenance. She has worked in health care for 18 years, most recently as the administrator at Meadow View Care and Rehabilitation Center in North Reading. She is an active member of the Massachusetts Health Care Association, the American Health Care Association and a committee member for the Northeast Alzheimer's Memory Walk.

METHUEN — Lester P. Schindel, president and chief executive officer of Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, has joined the board of the Northern Essex Community College Foundation. He has his bachelor's degree from Rutgers University and his master's degree in health care administration from George Washington University. He is also on the Merrimack Valley Workforce Investment Board, vice president of the Jewish Family Services of Metrowest board of directors, and on the board and a trustee for the Framingham United Soccer Club.

ANDOVER — RISO, Inc. of Danvers has donated a fully configured "see-through" HC5500 high-speed inkjet printer along with service and supplies to the Museum of Printing in Andover. Specially designed with clear "see-through" front, rear and top panels, the RISO HC5500 will serve as an educational display for the museum's visitors. In addition, the RISO HC5500 will be a working printer for staff to produce all of the museum's external communications that require full color and variable data. The "see-through" HC5500 display will be unveiled during the museum's 30th anniversary event on Nov. 13.

