MERRIMACK & NASHOBA VALLEYS — The Northeast Association of REALTORS (NEAR) reports that the combined sales of single family homes sold in the 15 cities and towns from Boxford to Littleton in May had a median sales price of $330,000, an increase of 10 percent compared with the median of $300,000 in May of 2012. The median sales price for condominiums sold during May was $204,300, a 4.3 percent increase over the median of $195,000 recorded in May of 2012. Multi-family prices increased 13.8 percent, with a median of $255,950 last month, compared to $224,900 in May of 2012.
The condo market has seen a marked increase in activity compared with last year, with 60.4 percent more condos sold in May 2013 than in May 2012. The number of single family homes sold locally in May was down 3.5 percent. This report is based on data from MLS Property Information Network in Shrewsbury.
