METHUEN — On May 7, NESC FCU awarded four $500 scholarships to the winners of its annual scholarship contest. The winners were presented their awards at the NESC FCU corporate headquarters at 248 Pleasant St., in Methuen. The scholarship winners were selected based on their school achievement, community involvement, and personal essay. The winners were Delaney Bradley, Ashia Miller, Lianne Grace Thornhill, and William Wolfendale Jr.
LAWRENCE — Home Health VNA has awarded Nicole Reyes, a graduate from the Health Careers program at Greater Lawrence Technical School, their scholarship given annually in memory of a former employee.
The $500 scholarship was established in 1995 as a tribute to Lisa Santiago Ventura. In her memory, Home Health VNA gives the Lisa Santiago Ventura Memorial Scholarship to a graduating senior of the Greater Lawrence Technical School where she was a student.
Nicole Reyes has been accepted to the nursing program at UMASS Lowell. She is a resident of Lawrence.

METHUEN — Senior Living Residences is pleased to announce that Gregory Batchelder has joined the company as executive director of Methuen Village, a 91-unit Merrimack Valley area assisted living and memory care residence. Batchelder began his career in senior care and community management with Amesbury Village, a 130-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation residence in Amesbury. Prior to coming to Methuen Village, he had been the executive director of Greystone Farm at Salem, a Salem, N.H. based assisted living and memory care community.
