Emily Bremmer and Benjamin Butler were married on Sept. 27, 2008 at Heinz Memorial Chapel in Pittsburgh. Rev. John W. Wilson officiated the ceremony. The bride's father Robert gave his daughter in marriage. A reception followed at Soldiers' and Sailors' Memorial in Pittsburgh.
Emily is the daughter of Robert and Cathy Bremmer of Pittsburgh. Benjamin is the son of Patrick and Dorothy Butler of Derry, N.H.
Maid of honor was Erin DeFazio, sister of the bride, of Pittsburgh. Bridemaids were Danielle Anderson, Kelle Bremmer, Jessica Kontul, and Lindsay Marquis. Flower girls were Mya Bremmer, daughter of Robert and Kelle, and Lara DeFazio, daughter of Daniel and Erin DeFazio.
Best man was Justin Butler, brother of the groom, of Santa Barbara, Calif. Ushers were Robert Bremmer, Paul Faricy, Ram Padmanabhan, Matthew Rutstein, Michael Schultze, Scott Schuster, and Michael Stewart. Ring bearers were Jackson Bremmer, Nathan Bremmer, and Jacob DeFazio.
Emily is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where she received a BA in Communications. She works at Eaton Corporation in Alexandria, Va., as a sales executive.
Benjamin is a graduate of Pinkerton Academy and Colorado State University where he received a BS in Marketing. He works at Metier Corporation in Arlington as a Business Development Manager.
The couple vacationed in the Dominican Republic for their honeymoon.
They reside in Alexandria, Va.
