28th Annual Bread & Roses Festival, noon to 7 p.m. on Campagnone Common, 200 Common St., Lawrence. This year’s festival celebrates the centennial of the 1912 Bread and Roses Strike. Free trolley tours and walking tours highlight historical sites. Free admission. Families welcome. Includes pony rides, jugglers, and face painting. Includes free play, art and gross motor activities set up to encourage children’s exploration.
