Garden club wants your old used pots

SANDOWN — Recycle used flower pots Saturday when the Sandown Garden Club holds a Pot Recycling Day at the Depot off Main Street from 9 a.m. to noon.

The donated pots will be cleaned and stored for next year's plant sale.

New members are welcome. Meetings are held the first Monday of the month at the recreation Center on Pheasant Run Drive.

Shred documents in Hampstead

HAMPSTEAD — Get rid of documents in a safe way Saturday when the Hampstead Firemen's Association hosts a community shredding event.

The shredding, sponsored by TD Bank, will take place at Town Hall from 9 a.m. to noon.

Donations to the Firemen's Association will be accepted.

Swing Band offers a free concert

WINDHAM — The Windham Swing Band has scheduled a free concert 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Windham Common, behind the Senior Center.

Rep. Kevin Waterhouse is donating ice cream sundaes, available at intermission for a donation of $3 to benefit Windham Community Bands. The concert will be rescheduled if it rains.

Pack a picnic, listen to live music

HAMPSTEAD — The Meetinghouse Park Summer Music series kicks off Tuesday, June 26, at 6 p.m. with the John Penny Band and oldies favorite, The Reminisants.

Meetinghouse Park is next to the meetinghouse at the corner of Emerson Avenue and Main Street. The concert is free. Bring blankets, lawn chairs and insect repellent.

Speaker addresses Atkinson Republicans

ATKINSON — The Atkinson Republicans will host New Hampshire House Speaker William O'Brien Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Kimball Library.
