The Interfaith Choir, always welcomes new members. Membership is free and open to anyone of at least high school age, without audition. The Choir rehearses Sundays, 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church on Route 102 in Derry, September through April. Prior experience in a choir is not necessary. Performances are twice a year: two concerts each in December and April. For more information, call Beth at 603-432-4786 or just come to a rehearsal.

Justice Resource Institute’s Intensive Foster Care & Adoption Program, is actively seeking foster parents in the Merrimack Valley to provide loving homes for children and young adults with intensive emotional and behavioral needs. These youth are from the Merrimack Valley and the goal is to place them with local foster parents to maintain a sense of normalcy and stability. Foster parents have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and young adults who are in great need of caring homes. Join Jumpstart, to make a difference in the lives of preschool children in Lawrence. Jumpstart is looking for volunteers to help preschool children prepare for Kindergarten. Volunteers will work in a preschool classroom two mornings a week with a team of peers/community members, receive free training and professional development (leadership opportunities available), and earn a stipend or education award over $1,000. Vegetarian Cooking Group getting started, for people living in Andover. If there is sufficient interest, then an initial meeting will be scheduled in the library. Anyone interested in participating or learning more about vegetarian cooking may email vegcookinginandover@gmail.com.
