Hampstead Civic club, meets the fourth Monday of each month at 8 p.m. at the club building next to the Hampstead, N.H., town offices. Membership is open to any Hampstead, N.H., resident 18 years and older. For more information call Howie Steadman at 603-329-4288.

Hampstead Veterans of Foreign War POst 11254, meets the second Saturday of each month for breakfast at 7:30 a.m. at the English Muffin restaurant on Main St. across from the town offices. Meeting follows at 8:30 a.m. at the Hampstead Civic Club building across the street. Membership is open to veterans of foreign conflicts. For more information call Howie Steadman at 603-329-4288.

Friends of the Nevins Memorial Library meetings, take place the first Monday of each month, except for the month of July, at 7:30 p.m. in the Garden Room of the library, 305 Broadway, Methuen. For more information, call 978-686-4080, ext. 33.

The Groveland Garden Club, has developed a cookbook filled with members’ recipes. These hard-covered books are on sale for $12.50. The North Andover Library Book Club, meets on the last Tuesday of the month. New members are welcome. Call Pam Green at 978-685-4820 or the North Andover Library at 978-688-9505 for more information.

Haverhill Trails Committee, welcomes volunteers. Since 1993, the all volunteer organization has helped maintain Haverhill’s network of trails and conservation areas. Most trail maintenance is done in the spring and fall, last for a few hours and usually does not require any heavy lifting. Tools are provided. Attendance at all trail maintenance events is not required. To volunteer, contact the Haverhill Conservation Office at 978-374-2334 or email conservation@cityofhaverhill.com.
